I’m noticing a lack of misery between the lines, though the snark is alive and well. I’ve been writing a lot of fiction, and publishing (over 40 so far) with several different places.
2010: MAUI
Near the end of March, my gut acted up, and I had a strong hunch that it wasn’t just being its normal, irritable self. I had Robyn take me to the E.R. It took all night, but Dr. L. decided to operate on me for a twisted bowel; I could tell you the technical name but they shoot horses for it. Anyhow my gender reveal, so to speak, was both visible and obvious to all. There was one nurse who flat out lied about calling the doctor. There was another who became, for a while, my best and probably my only, gay male friend.
The X-ray technician said I had an enlarged prostate, which gave Dr. L. an enlarged temper.
