Dec 3: Eye clinic today—forty-minute drive in heavy traffic and rain. He said there had been no change in my vision, visual fields or cupping/optic nerve etc., but since my pressures were 15 again and had been 9-15 in Washington, he brought up laser surgery to consider (ugh) and new eye drops, which brings me up to four times a day. Swell. I joked about how I ended up at Dr. Leen’s because she only took the worst cases, and he said, “Well you are a worst case,” dead serious. Need I even write the horror that opens up in my heart as I write this? The good part? I trust this guy. I recommend this guy.
Dec 20, or something, out in the ocean once again. Did I mention how much my wife likes cruises? So today a couple of more old people left the ship. One man had a stroke, and his wife is still on the cruise. Another one was taken off yesterday on a gurney, with an IV in his arm. Don’t know why.
