Chapter 26

“Jude? I know it hurts, but you can think for yourself. Do you want to try the morphine? We could get your hand in a cast faster that way.” Sean kept his voice firm to penetrate through the injured wolf that was currently partially blocking everything for his son’s human side.

“It will hurt later, too, if you stay a wolf. We’ll have to take off the cast before you shift and redo it when you’re human. Might be easier to take the risk.” Noah leaned forward, never minding the growl from the wolf, who was only having trouble trusting the medic he knew when said medic happened to be a cat who could be dangerous to him at the moment.

Finally the growling subsided and the wolf turned its head to look at Sean. Then he nodded.

“Okay. Morphine it is. I’ll hold you, okay?” Sean said and wrapped his arms around his son’s form tightly. Better for him to get bitten than either of the cats. “Noah, knock the wall three times.”
