Mikael Jarvela may only be a half shifter, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be alpha of the eastern Finland farm-turned-sanctuary his father founded. Lazily,Mikael tossed more water on the stones,despite only about half of it actually landing where it should because he wasn’t going to get up to really aim at the top of the stove.


Not a bad way to spend his birthday evening,not at all,he thought.They would start using the sauna more from now on.It was like that every year.They’d use it until Christmas,when they’d have their annual Christmas sauna,and then leave it be until the end of May next year.They had small saunas with electric stoves in both of the houses,but nothing beat the gentle heat from a wood stove like they had in this one.


“Bye now.Remember to come out of there soon!”Noah called through the door,and Mikael realized the jaguar must have washed already.


“I’ll dip in the lake,I think,”he said loudly enough and got a disbelieving snort in reply.“No,really.Might be fun.”
