The door was starting to creak under his weight.Keith pushed off it and opened the door to inspect it.It wasn’t just the wood itself that was dented.Either the ex or the mother had kicked the door a little closer to the lock because that looked a little wonky.It was surprising that just a few kicks could make the door bend,and these doors were strong.


Something told him that this wasn’t the first time Julia’s door had been kicked.How had he not seen this?It looked like it was moments away from having the lock broken.The next bout of vandalism would result in the door breaking in completely.


He needed to talk to the superintendent about that.This was not on.And Keith wasn’t comfortable about Julia staying on her own.Clancy could still come back,and Julia’s door wouldn’t withstand anything else.That ex was scarily persistent.
