“You mean that big red truck your former son-in-law drives?”


“Yes.It had been following us since we left the house.I thought it was just coming out of the neighborhood,but then it followed us very closely.”Tahlia wrapped her arms around her middle.“Then we were trying to cross the intersection and there was a loud bang.I saw a flash of red as it drove past.”


Keith knew about that already.His colleague had radioed about it on their way to the hospital.They were currently treating it as suspicious,and the description of the truck sounded like the one that ran Julia off the road yesterday.While yesterday might have been Clancy,it wasn’t the case today.
