I gestured between the two brothers who definitely looked too much alike to be completely different species.

“Are you step brothers or something?” I continued. It was definitely one logical explanation other than the fact that they were totally blood brothers.

The line of Anders’ lips twitched upwards in a smile, and he looked at me, almost dangerously, from behind a set of darkened lashes.

“I was a hunter until a mission went wrong and I was bitten,” he explained. Realisation rushed into me.

“That’s why you hate supernaturals so much!” I gasped as I turned my gaze on Archer.

“I don’t hate all supernaturals,” he insisted, and I was sure I saw him cringe under his older brother’s eye.

“No, he just wishes we were all gone from existence.” Anders laughed and clamped his hand down on his brother’s shoulder. “I can’t say I blame him. There are many supernaturals out there who deserve to be.”
