“Oh?” I exchanged glances with Quinn, and he shrugged. “You’ve got Gautier’s?”


“Of course. After I spoke to you, I found the CD that contains the information she gave us.”


“A CD?” That was disappointing. Information on that would probably be too current. I needed something from about the time she’d become interested in me.


“We periodically update everything on which our records have been stored. Unfortunately, it’s too easy for something to become corrupted.”


“I transferred the information from the last set of floppy discs to CDs. I’ll transfer it again in a few months. I have the pertinent CD in the computer in my study.”


“Thank you.” She smiled at Quinn before turning to me. “However, I have to admit that thinking about it now, I’m uncertain how much of the information she gave us is factual.”
