“Hey, it’s okay,” Daniel whispered, gently stroking his cheek and, a moment later, Alex’s hands clenched into fists in his shirt.


“No, it’s not. I might lose you! And when I saw you with Matt again I thought it was too late.”


“I broke up with Matt immediately,” Daniel murmured, reassuring him. “The night we spent together…it shocked me. I couldn’t stay with him anymore, so I went to his place to talk, but he is a good friend and it was his idea to hang out together for a while.”


Alex didn’t reply and Daniel looked at him with parted lips.


Alex thought about making a joke, but it was no longer the moment to act stupid.


“To die for.” He sighed slumping forward, supporting his forehead against Daniel’s shoulder. “I could already picture you two married with children,” he murmured, shaking his head.


Daniel laughed and stroked Alex’s nape pulling him into a tight embrace. He bowed his head and kissed his hair.
