“Oh, no. There was no need for drama. If you could have seen him. Time has not been kind to him and I think his life sucks enough without me doing anything stupid. And I’m glad Daniel was there with me.”
Daniel smiled and Kevin didn’t say anything. He just took a step and hugged him tight, burying his face against his neck. Daniel blinked and then returned the hug, lifting his arms and patting Kevin’s back.
Alex frowned and then tapped on his friend shoulder.
“I hate to make this so obvious, but I am the one here that needs a hug. I am the one that faced his past and had the courage to do it. I am—”
“You’re the one that almost lost this wonderful guy, man,” Kevin sighed, taking a step back from Daniel.
“Are you going to go gay for him?” Gabriel asked with a mischievous grin.
“Why do you even have to ask?” Kevin retorted.
