Chapter 35

“The shop has a lot of security,” Dirk said as they headed to the elevator. “And so does the building I suspect. At least there are no cameras in the hallway.”

“There are in the lobby,” Fey told him. “We should check the service entrance.”

They did, both inside and out. Off to one side of the hallway leading to it was a room marked security. Fey, playing nosy, opened the door to look inside, saying “Sorry,” when a man told her she wasn’t allowed to come in.

“Several monitoring screens,” she told Dirk. “Three men watching them.”

He nodded. “Probably for all the cameras installed in the various businesses on the first two floors. We’ll come back after the building closes to figure out the security guards’ routines.”
