“Yep.”

They did as Dirk said; finishing their beers before going back to the hotel so Galvez could get his car. Then Dirk had him drive into one of the neighborhoods outside of Cherry Creek where the homes were more middleclass. It was late enough that Dirk figured most people would be in bed, since it was a weekday. He found a block that suited his needs, telling Galvez to park on the side street. Then the three men went down the alley. Dirk pointed to a garage, telling Galvez to unlock the door.

“With what?” Galvez asked. “I don’t have any tools.”

“Funny that,” Maverick replied. “Just so happens I do.” He took a toolkit from his jacket pocket, handing it to Galvez.

“You always carry this?” Galvez asked. “Cops stop you, you could be in deep shit.”

Maverick just shrugged. “I’d dump it before that happened.”
