Eli shook his head.

I can’t believe itThe answer to who Joshua was so logical, like the watcher said

Joshua zipped up his book bag then tossed it in the plastic chair next to Eli, snapping Eli out of his thoughts. “All right, I’ve done my homework. I haven’t asked you any questions for an hour, like I promised. So can you now tell me what got you all quiet after you saw my mom and my biological’s photo?”

“I wish you would stop calling him that—that term biological isn’t a nice term.”

“I can’t help it. The guy was just a sperm donor.”

“Well, if I remember, you told me that your mom didn’t even tell him. She came down here to Orlando to tell him about you. Right?”

“Right. But why does it sound like you are taking this guy’s side? I don’t have any connection to the man in the picture.”

“Well I do. I wasn’t sure until I saw the photo and you described his eyes. And, frankly, some of the things you do, remind me of him.”

“So you know him, then?”
