“Exactly. The artwork we carry is insured and, in the grand scheme of things, not so valuable that we can’t eat the loss if someone decided to grab one and run.”

“So…I guess my next question is, when is the next job?”

“We don’t have one planned yet,” I told him. “We’ve had a couple of inquiries from clients. One wants a drawing in a gallery in Baton Rouge. Another is interested in a small piece by a fairly well-known international sculptor. It’s on loan to a gallery on Magazine Street for their Capturing the Danceexhibition.”

“A Degas?” Ephram appeared both intrigued and wary.

“No. I think something like that would be so well secured even wecouldn’t get to it. It’s a de Rege.”

“Hardly a small fry in the art world but yeah, not in Degas’ class. What’s the drawing in Baton Rouge?”
