Chapter 107

Oliver. He’d been a blessing to them all. He was the rock his brother had needed, and he’d offered Brian something in the months after the Adam thing that he wasn’t able to. And the guy didn’t seem hung up on their close bond. Thank God for Oliver, and thank God for James. They both gave him and Brian something they couldn’t each other, complemented them and didn’t place any demands on them they couldn’t meet.

James pulled his attention again, and kissed him deeply, possessively, and so tenderly. He opened his mouth and submitted to the kiss, like he always did. Even though James gave him all the leeway he needed with his brother, he was also aware of James’ needs and let him assert his possessiveness the way he needed to. This kiss was hot, though, especially for a public display, and he wondered if something else was at play behind it.

James pulled away, then stared intently down at him.

“I love you,” James said.
