“The house is all right, but if it were any closer to the neighbors we’d be sharing a common wall,” Ellis grumbled. It was at least the sixth one they’d seen on the realtor websites and none of them really had what he and Martin were searching for.
As nice as they seemed, some were too expensive even on their combined budgets. Others were too far from the heart of the city, and like the one they were looking at now, cheek-by-jowl with their neighbors.
Martin snorted when they looked at the next house. “It definitely has plenty of acreage, and it’s large enough, but somehow I don’t think we can pull together the two-point-two million asking price.”
“No kidding.” Ellis kept scrolling.
“Stop. That one.” Martin tapped the screen.
Ellis nodded slowly as he studied the information. Especially the fact it was in Algiers, which meant Todd wouldn’t have to change schools. But also…“A carriage house?”
“It would be perfect for your studio.”
