Chapter 15

“I use Facebook, but I can’t say I’m addicted to it.”

“Maybe you can help me break away from it. What do you say?”

“I think I’m doing that right now.”

He leaned into my cheek again, applied another kiss, and pulled away just as quickly as the first time. “There’s something about your tenderness that drives me crazy, Cannon Rake.”

“What kind of drive are you talking about?”

“Maybe someday I’ll show you,” he said.

“How?”

“With my hands and mouth, and whatever other body parts I may need to use with you.”

“Patrick, are you flirting with me?”

He shook his head. “I wouldn’t dare flirt with someone I barely even know.”

He wasflirting with me, which I thought rather playful and acceptable. The groomsman had a glow about his cheeks and chin that clarified his liking for me. His eyes also shimmered with delight, maybe happy with his choice that I had agreed to accompany him that evening.
