Chapter 34

“Christine Anthony,” Coulter started. “This is Ron Everson and Jane Reardon from Chellon Cosmetics.”

I shook hands with them.

“I understand you’re new to this business,” Everson said.

“I never even thought of doing something like this until Mr. Coulter approached me in St. Lucia.”

“Yes,” Jane Reardon said. “He came back with glowing reports about you. He couldn’t say enough good things. I’m glad to see that he was right in his assessments.”

“Thank you. And thank you very much, Tim,” I said with my best smile.

“May we know a little about you? May I call you Christine?” Everson asked.

“Chris is fine.” I smiled. “Let’s see, I’m twenty-nine. I graduated from Julliard in cello eight years ago and I play with the Wind Star Quartet.”

“Are you married? Do you have children?” Ron asked.

“No and no. I live alone.”

“So you’re free to travel when necessary,” he continued.

“I’d like it not to conflict with Wind Star.”
