It’s not. Believe me, I’ve seen and done things more gruesome than you can imagine since I was a kid. Helped deliver my first foal when I was seven. Well, I was supposed to help, but it was so gross I ran to a corner and hid while my dad helped the vet. :P

Wes laughed to himself and wrote such back to Carlo.As he was trying to decide if he was ready to casually mention some sort of potential date, he was interrupted by a coworker asking for help finding something among their backstock.

“I’ll be there in a minute,” Wes said curtly. He checked the time on his phone. It was just past the end of his break. With an exasperated sigh, he wrote, I must go, my people need me. See you Saturday.

Wes turned off his phone and tucked it into his pocket. As he followed his coworker into the back, he added one more question to his list:

How long is it going to be before I’m satisfied with the answers I get?
