“You and me both,” Jonah replied. “It’s why I run.”
“I understand there’s a workout room in the building, although I haven’t checked it out yet.”
“Yep. And a pool and sauna.”
“Nice.”
At that point, their conversation petered out and they both stared out across the pond.
“It’s lovely here,” Byron said a few moments later.
“Yep. It’s why I come by when I can. I look at the flowers and plants and wonder if it’s possible to grow some of them on my balcony.” Jonah added pensively, “I’m sure it is, but it takes planning, and work.”
“Stop at any gardening store. They’ll have planters and what have you.”
“You sound as if you know about it.”
Byron nodded. “Back east, I lived in a high rise in the center of the city. There weren’t many trees or bushes, to say nothing of flowers, so I created a balcony garden.” He gave Jonah a puzzled look. “Surely some of the places you sell have balconies where people have done that.”
