“All four of them were on the ground, Daddy,” the girl said. “You should have seen it.”
“You got into a fight with Donnie?” Dr. Yarborough asked. “Over what?”
“Over him being a redneck bully,” Vincent said coolly.
“He did not like the fact that I am Soviet, either,” Nikoloz added from the pantry. “You purchased enough potato chips to feed six teams.”
“You fought with Donnie?” the doctor repeated. “And his henchmen?” He gave Vincent a telling look. Vincent explained what had happened. “We may or may not get a visit from the police, but Sunflower’s just got a little case of nerves. She’ll be fine. Maybe a little tot of something stronger in her tea.”
Billy flung open the back door and dashed inside. “You got in a fight? I knew I should have gone along with you. I could have shot them for you.”
Margaret gave Nikoloz an adoring glance as he handed her a cup. “You should have seen it, Daddy,” she repeated. “They just karate chopped them—one, two! It was like one of Billy’s movies.”
