“Let’s see who we’re up against,” Vincent said, tugging a ski mask free.

Nikoloz felt his stomach drop. He recognized the face of one of the thugs from the grocery store parking lot. “It is Donnie and his men,” he said. 10: The Long Arm of the Law

“It is Donnie.” Vincent stripped all of the masks away and tossed them into a pile near the handguns. “The question is, are they here on their own, to get even with us? Or did F.I.S.T. hire them to capture the doctor?”

“We will have to wait until they regain consciousness.” Nikoloz stepped into the garage to check on Rogers. He was sitting on one of the camping cots. The man’s face was pale, but they had stopped the bleeding. Evans had improvised a sling out of one of the sheets.

Jones trotted back up. “I had Dr. Yarborough call for an ambulance as well as the police. They should be here within ten or fifteen minutes, the doctor says.”

Sanders strolled over from the workshop, revolver in hand. She gave a huge yawn. “I heard gunfire.”
