Chapter 10

She’d just sat down at the dining room table to drink her coffee when the phone rang. The name on the screen said Thomason Psychiatric Clinic

Cam clicked the phone on. “Hey,” she said cheerily. “How are you?”

“I hope I’m not disturbing anything.”

Cam chuckled. “No, Michael left about an hour ago. She should almost be at the airport by now.”

“Then you’re free to work again.”

Cam heaved a big sigh. “If I must. I thought I didn’t have to be at work until Monday morning.”

Maggie laughed. “Richard just called. There seems to be someone asking around town about how to get in touch with you.”

“With me?”

Maggie smiled. “It seems so, sweetie.”

“Is this a good guy or a bad guy?” Cam asked.

“We don’t know, but it needs to be checked out.”

Cam let that info run through her brain. “Alright. Tonight?”

“If you can. We understand he’s been asking in all the gay and lesbian bars.”

“Gay bars, too? Maybe I should take Pauly with me.”
