“You need a driver and I need money. I can’t be taking my girlfriend’s charity for the next two years but I won’t go back to prison…at least not for chump change. Now, if you want to be serious about this, we can talk. Remember, I’ve got to have something to make this risk worthwhile.”

The entrees arrived and they started eating.

Finally, he looked up.

“Two thousand?” he asked.

“A shipment?”

“A week,” he decided.

“No,” Cam shook her head. “A shipment.” She looked him in the eyes as she sat holding her fork.

“That’s more than anyone else is making.” He took a deep breath.

“Then, they’re fools.” She took a drink of her wine.

He remained silent. Finally he asked, “Where do you live now?”
