The email began simply, Mr. Carson. No dear, nothing to indicate they had spoken previously. Short and succinct. Larry scanned it quickly, then took a deep breath and read it again, squinting a little to try and understand what it really meant.

Attached please find a copy of our standard non-disclosure agreement (NDA). You may wish to review this with your attorney, as it is legally binding. Failure to comply with the requirements and regulations outlined in the agreement will result in legal action that, I assure you, will not end in your favor. Please print the document, initial where indicated, sign and date the last page, then return the completed agreement to me at the address below as soon as possible. Upon receipt, two backstage passes to Geo’s upcoming Richmond, Virginia, concert will be provided to you. I need not point out that the date of the show is fast approaching, so time is of the essence.
