Relax. Eron hasn’t done anything like that in a long time.
Two hours into the trip, Eron reached over and rested his hand on Garrett’s inner thigh. “You okay?”
He took his eyes off the road for a brief moment. Garrett peered into his deep blue eyes and saw no malice.
How can I be mad when he looks at me like that?
Garrett’s anger floated out of the car window. “I’m fine. I’ve looked forward to this for a long time.”
“Good. Me, too.” Eron assured him with a pat on the leg.
When they arrived in Provincetown, Garrett helped Eron navigate the streets with the map they’d brought.
“Do you need any money?” Garrett asked when Eron got out of the car.
“Let’s settle up later? I want to get checked in and take a nap first. You coming?”
“I’ll wait here.”
