Chapter 33

He turned back to the quiet of the apartment and took a deep breath. The scent of the incense he kept burning in the dining room filled him with a calm he desperately needed. He leaned against the door and closed his eyes. It had been two years since the breakup with Jessica, and he had shunned away many advances from beautiful women. He hadn’t been with another man in…too damn long, really.

Sighing, he walked back into the living room and looked out the window. More rain, no surprise. He gazed across the city and wondered where Evan was. He didn’t know where to find Evan, but as he stared at the full clouds, watching them grow dark with night, a thought came to Morgan. Evan knew where hewas. He smiled at the thought and turned from the window once more. Evan knew how to find him, and something told Morgan the man would eventually do just that.
