Pax said, “Too bad that’s over. I was actually going to get off with your mouth down there.”

“I don’t play that way,” I said, though it came across as grating and joyless.

Again, the guy chuckled, and said, “Don’t lie to me, Cal. Something tells me you want to have your mouth between my legs as much I want you to.”

I was silent yet again, unsure about having taken this trip with him, confused at his potent desire for me, and at a loss for words. As we approached Gossner & Timmons, I closed my eyes, kept a sullen expression on my face, and thought: He’s right.I want him. I have to have him. And I don’t know how long I can possibly keep my hunger for the cowboy pent up.
