Chapter 26

“We should really visit more, Timothy,” James said.

“Let’s not,” Tim said and moved past James.

Tim exited the room and recognized the familiar silhouettes of Tom and Lacy at the top of the stairs. He knew he looked flushed and was panicked they’d pick up on it straight away.

“Babe, I was looking everywhere for you,” Tom sounded relieved, albeit slightly annoyed.

He smiled at them as he approached. He couldn’t but help look over his shoulder at Tom’s room and only prayed that James would just wait until they left before making his exit. He knew what Tom got like, and saw that he already wasn’t in a great mood.

“I had a headache, so I laid down for a little bit.” Tim didn’t know how convincing he sounded.

“What’s up?” his boyfriend asked as he scrutinized him.
