“I’ve been thinking,” I said, keeping my voice low. I watched my hand rest on his stomach, not yet brave enough to drop it completely into his lap. But I felt a hardness against my wrist where it rested on his thigh, and I knew he wanted me as much as I wanted him.
He pulled me in and my head dropped onto his shoulder. “About what?”
“About us,” I admitted, glancing up at him. “About how we might…dosomething.”
He stared across the room at the blank screen. “They’d see us.”
“They might not.”
Now he looked at me, and I pursed my lips to blow him a quick kiss. With a smirk, he pointed out, “The screens are everywhere we go.”
“Then we have to go somewhere they aren’t.”
I watched his face in the dim lighting. Slowly his eyes widened and his lips pressed together in determination. I felt him straighten up beneath me, so I sat up, as well. Crossing my legs, I faced him, waiting.
He reached out and took my hand in his. “Where do you know there are no screens?”
