In less than twenty-four hours, my life had turned into a bad soap opera plot. Lovers torn apart by a devastating affair! The secret love child! At least now I knew why Jay had been behaving so terribly over the past few weeks. He was cracking up over the whole thing with Olivia and taking that shit out on me. By the time I was near Trenton, I started feeling severely lightheaded due, more than likely, to the last night??s loss of blood and this morning??s lack of food, so I stopped at a McDonald??s drive-thru for an Egg McMuffin and orange juice (that I ended up spilling half of onto my lap). After filling my car with gas on Route 1, I headed north toward Princeton. I parked near the university and walked around the campus to try and clear my head. There weren??t many students around probably because the spring semester had ended and the summer term hadn??t started yet.
