While celebrating the Supreme Court same-sex ruling, Josh hides his deep aversion to marriage. He lets his lover Adam believe they’ll eventually marry. But when his wedding-planner mother pushes him too hard to take that step, Josh declares in anger he won’t ever marry Adam.<br><br>Adam overhears and flees. It was going to work! The house was going to be theirs. And Josh would give Adam the best wedding present ever. He wondered if he should admit to Adam just how close they’d skated to being thrown out. Maybe not. At least not today. Josh spun around in a small celebration dance and checked his watch.


Sweat started pouring out of him. Damn, damn, damn! He was due at the church in fifteen minutes. He grabbed his phone and texted a quick message to Adam saying he was running late. Somehow he had to get rid of the buyers, drop off Mr. Levin, and fly across town to the church. He strode into the kitchen determined to kick some butt and get everybody the hell out of his house. He came to an abrupt stop and stared.


CeCe was busy measuring the countertops. Her husband was writing down the dimensions for her while Mr. Levin happily looked on.


No, no, no. They were supposed to be on their way out the door.
