“Do you trust him?” Theirn asked, as soon as they were back in the car.

“Rian does, which is what counts. I didn’t get any vibes that Styles had an ulterior motive for helping us.”

“He’s not going to make anything off this, since we want to catch Leander in the act,” Theirn said. “That couldmake him have second thoughts.”

“I don’t think so. Not this time. As he told Rian, he hates killers. Especially ones involved in what he does. He’s a practical man. He doesn’t want to bring the cops down on him.”

“I suppose you’re right. You do know more about the criminal side of things than I do.”

Caiden lifted an eyebrow. “Is that supposed to be a compliment?”

“Maybe?” Theirn grinned. “In a backhanded way.”

“Then thanks, I guess. Do we want to stop for something to eat?”

“This ‘we’ does for sure. Shall we try The Hornet?”

“Sure. Why not?”
