“Leave him alone, Eric!” Gary yelled.


“You can’t stop me from coming here!” Eric yelled at his brother.


“He doesn’t want to see you!” Gary yelled back.


Eric grabbed Gary by the collar of his shirt and shoved him. Gary fell back, tumbling off of the porch and onto the front lawn, but he’d latched onto Eric just in time to pull his younger brother to the ground with him. The two were rolling on the grass, exchanging blows, by the time I got the front door open and went outside. I managed to intervene and get them away from each other, but not for long. As soon as I got them apart, they shoved me aside and went back to swinging at each other.
