“I will admit, however, all this wedding planning is starting to wear on me,” Leah said, breaking the silence. “I understand now that the Supreme Court has ruled gays and lesbians can legally get married, we should hold a massive event to commemorate that decision. To me, our public declaration took place three years ago in Wilmington when we had our commitment ceremony.”

“I remember you inviting us to come down, but that was the weekend Paul’s dad had surgery and we went to Greenville to be with him. The two of you looked so cute, and I remember how much you were just glowing when you posted your pictures.”
