Jude stood up, the chair catching on the cheap carpet and falling backwards against the desk behind them. “This is bullshit,” he said loudly. “Maybe some people keep things quiet for a reason, yeah? Maybe some people don’t want the whole universe knowing what they are.”

Jude stormed out, not even bothering to pause for his bag, and Miss Taylor straightened slowly, eyeballing the rest of the class. They waited.
