Chapter 41

“I do, Damian. I want you to be my husband. I want to get married. I want this partnership that we have to last forever. All of it. I want us to be inseparable from this point on.”

“Jesus, Ridge…You really do love me.”

“And I hope you love me back just as much.”

“I do,” Damian answered, windblown and nervous. “And I’ll marry you. Whenever you want. Wherever you want. I’ll be your husband. I’ll love you until the day I die and make you the happiest husband. Always. I promise.” 26: Trespasser

Wake up, Paul said, pulling me out of sleep. There’s someone outside the cabin

Sander snored beside me. His chest rose and fell in the moonlight’s white-silver beams of light that entered through the bedroom’s only window. It somewhat sounded as if he were gagging instead of snoring.

Paul barked at me, Let him sleep! You have work to do without him.

What kind of work, Paul?

Stick with me, kid, and you’ll find out.
