“Hey, Galaxy, right?”
He’d been so deep in thought, he hadn’t noticed the guy in the parking lot until he almost ran into him. He recognized the guy with dark hair and blue highlights.
“Oh. Hi. Jude?” He remembered meeting the florist at the harvest festival and he knew his shop, St. Jude’s, was right next door.
Jude shook his hand. “Yes. You’re the artist.”
“And you’re the florist.”
The other man laughed. “Quite right.” He flicked his head in the direction of Vic’s. “Getting a bite to eat?”
“No, I’m working there as a waiter three days a week now.”
“Ah, good for Adam.” Jude smirked.
“Excuse me?”
“I’m sure he could use the help.”
Galaxy nodded. “Yes. How’s business at the shop?”
“Still recovering from Valentine’s Day.” Jude shuddered. “I’m dreading Mother’s Day next.”
“Busiest times?”
“You’ve no idea. I was closing up early today. Meeting Rex.”
“The vet?”
“Yes, he’s my boyfriend.”
