Still, it wouldn’t do for him to continue, in Armand’s opinion. If, by some fluke of bad luck, Tino was caught in the process of a robbery, he’d either be arrested, or he’d use his powers of invisibility and mist or fly away from the scene of the crime when the police arrived. Either way, the existence of at least one vampire would be revealed. If that happened, none of us would be safe.

“Now comes the difficult part,” he murmured. “Proving Tino is the thief, then, if I can, convincing him to stop before it’s too late.”

Finding Tino wasn’t hard. All Armand had to do was put in appearances at various social functions attended by the rich and famous. At the third one, he saw Tino intermingling with the other guests. It was obvious the young vampire knew many of them. It also became quickly apparent that Tino knew Armand was there from the glances he gave him—ones that were less than welcoming.
