“Welcome to our home, Agnes. It is good to see you. It appears my boyfriend can see you, as well.”
Anthony had been thinking for a while about the property where Agnes lived. He decided now might be a good time to ask about it.
“Edie, may I ask, who has title to the property next door where your grandmother lived?”
“It went to my mother, grandma’s daughter. They live out on the coast, and never really tried to do anything with it. I sort of forgot about it, too. I came by last June, but grandma already told you that. I haven’t been here since.”
“We’d like to buy it if you think your mother would agree. We’re neighbours, and want to keep the place in good shape. Agnes is obviously going to stick around for a while. Do you think they would sell?” Anthony had a plan, and if they owned the property, he’d put the idea to Agnes before going ahead.
