Chapter 54

“Not bad,” I said as I looked around Coop’s condo. “Not bad at all.”

The living room, or great room as he called it, had windows and two glass doors making up one wall. The doors led to a glassed-in balcony. The kitchen opened onto the great room, on the other side from the balcony. There were two bedrooms, one that he’d turned into an office. The place even had a small laundry room. The walls were all painted an off white, with hardwood flooring in the kitchen and great room. The bedroom and office had white carpeting.

“You like black when it comes to furniture,” I commented. A logical conclusion, since the sofa and chairs were black leather, as was the lounger in his bedroom. The bed sported a black iron head board and a black comforter. A black dresser completed the furniture in there. The kitchen appliances were, of course, black, with dark oak cabinets that were matched by the ones in the bathrooms.
