Chapter 66

“He’ll know by now I left the rodeo.” Trent turned to face Lex. “And that I left with you. I’m pretty sure he will have figured us out by now.”

Lex waited.

“No, Lex, I’m not sure about this. But I ain’t goin’ back,” he added with a tone of resolve. He dropped his eyes and more quietly added, “Not sure what my daddy’d do to me if I did.” He looked back up at Lex and smiled. “But there’s one thing I am sure of.”

“What’s that?” Lex asked.

“That I love ya and want to be wherever you are. So, if Stallions and Studs is home for you, it’s home for me, too.”

Lex stepped forward and took Trent in his arms. He kissed his man right there in the open beneath the bright blue Idahoan sky.
