Quick as lightning, two calves were cut and driven into the pen, Lex driving them both as Trent cut the third.


Rio shook his head. &ldquo;Dang, they&rsquo;re good.&rdquo;


But as Trent tried to close the gate on the little devils, one managed to squeeze out, had to be caught and brought back to the pen. When the gate was finally closed and the cowboys raised their arms, their time was sixty-seven seconds.


&ldquo;Winning today&rsquo;s penning&mdash;Mark and Rio!&rdquo; Seth announced.


Rio and Mark raised their hands in victory then leaned in their saddles and gave each other a hug. The others rode up and congratulated them.


&ldquo;You guys make a great team,&rdquo; Lex said with a knowing smile.


&ldquo;Rio and Mark, come on in and get your trophy.&rdquo; Seth announced.
