Chapter 71

“What do you think?” asked Kiko, hovering over his shoulder. Dom turned and kissed him.

“I think I like books more than I thought I did.”

“Maybe someday we’ll film ourselves, too,” said Kiko as Dom extracted himself to set the book down on his nightstand. He was pleased Dom liked it.

“Let’s not get carried away yet,” said Dom, moving to close the bedroom door even though there was no one in the house besides them. “We haven’t even been together a year.”

“I don’t care,” said Kiko. He trusted Dom more than he had ever trusted anyone. The scar on Dom’s arm reminded Kiko of it every time he looked at him, reminder that Dom had been willing to risk his life for Kiko. Reminder of the day they admitted they loved each other.

Kiko crossed to Dom and ran a finger along the scar, not moving as Dom leaned in to kiss his neck. They’d been through a lot together in less than a year. Kiko could trust him.
