“How can we pull off a hijacking? If there’s shooting, and you know there will be, someone will hear it.”

“Which is why we’re looking for the perfect spot,” Mars said as they walked along the north running road. “Somewhere we can get the drop on them before they know what’s happening. The curve right after they leave the warehouses, presuming they go that way, would work. I just want to see if there’s a better spot.”

When they got to a street again, Dylan was surprised to find the van waiting for them. Ken, who was riding shotgun, rolled down the window, and Mars asked, “What’s up?”

“There’s no safe place to do what we’re planning, unless they use the road you’ve been following. And it ends three blocks north of here.”

“This one crosses the one we were following,” Mars replied. “The other part seems to keep going east, which would take them the wrong direction. I figure this is a service road, and…” He explained his theory about the warehouses.
