Chapter 46

“Okay,” Jonah said, joining them, marching the driver in front of him. “Ken, get the van and return to the house.” He tossed him the keys then looked at Mars. “You ride in front with me. The rest of you, get in the back. You too,” he told the driver and the other prisoner. The men scowled but did as ordered. As soon as everyone was in the truck—after shifting a couple of boxes to make room for them all—Dylan closed the rear door and they were on the move.

“Who the hell are you?” the driver asked. The other man stared sullenly down at the floor, muttering, “You as sogoing to regret this.”

“Probably not.” Livy grinned at him. “We got what we came after and should make a fair profit from it.” She patted one of the armament boxes.

“When Zappa finds out—”

“Shut your damned mouth,” the driver spat out.

Dylan chuckled. “Guess Zappa hasn’t got him well-trained yet.”
