Chapter 50

Ron had always been a slob, that wasn’t a surprise, but the mess Chris faced today was welcomed. Cleaning the place up would help take his mind off everything and he would start with laundry. He gathered up the clothes and carried them into the hallway. Next to the bathroom was a set of open bi-fold doors with a pile of clothes spilling out of them and a washer and dryer inside.

Chris dropped the clothes on the floor and then sorted out the dark colors and loaded them in the washer. Once that load was started, he headed to the kitchen.

There were only a few dirty dishes in the sink, so he put them in the dishwasher. Next, he went to the living room, grabbed the beer bottles and chips, and dumped them in the trash. With these tasks done, he stopped and looked at the pictures on the bookshelf.
