“Whew. I think that’s the last box, guys,” Adam commented as he put away the final items.


He and Lance had helped Mike unpack once the movers had carried the last box into the apartment. Mike had been efficient, packing everything and contacting the moving company all within the last two weeks. His house had already been put on the market, and extra furniture or other items he did not want had been donated.


“Thanks, Adam. You, too, Lance,” Mike said.


“Yeah, no problem, Mike,” Lance added.


“Nathan and Holly have been helping Megan put away her belongings,” Lance answered. “Adam saw them in Megan’s bedroom about two hours ago.”


“Yeah, I did,” Adam said. “By the way, Mike, I’ve noticed you don’t seem to own much at all.”
