A boy named Sebastian who had been adopted by Devon's family also survived the blaze. Then an attempt is made on Devin's life. There was no time to find his mom to tell her. Sebastian was going to hurt Josh and if Devin didn’t go after him right now, Josh could…he could die.


Devin opened the window and climbed out, running as fast as he could. Devin halted when he suddenly smelled something burning and he froze in terror. The tree house was on fire and Josh was inside.


Devin raced toward the tree. He forgot Sebastian, he forgot everything. His brother was all that mattered and he must save him.


But his arm was grabbed from behind and he was dragged into the bushes. Devin struggled to free himself but his captor was bigger and a lot stronger. His eyes widened when he saw Sebastian looming over him.


“Did you know what Josh did at school today?” Sebastian signed. “He pushed me off the jungle gym.”
