“I was at home, getting ready to meet him. In fact, I waited all night for him to call me, but he never did. It had happened before, especially when he had meetings lasting late into the night, so I was not concerned about it.”

“Ms. Angelina, Ms. Molly, and Mr. Hunter claimed Lance had been very vocal about his indiscretions during their normal lunches.”

“Lance and I agreed he would behave as he always was, but I trusted him not to cheat on me.”

“Joshua,” Terrence said. “Lance might still have cheated on you, though.”

“Possibly, but Lance was a closet workaholic. He spent tons of time in the office prior to our relationship. When we started dating, he would bring his work back to my place and we would sit next to each other on the sofa as we worked on our individual tasks. We spent anywhere between four and six evenings together per week.”

“What changed on the night he died?” Mike inquired curiously.
